Living Out, an upscale LGBTQ+ retirement community in Palm Springs, is set to open in spring of 2023. On November 15, a beam-signing ceremony marked a major milestone – the placement of the community's final structural beam. The ceremony also announced the name of the on-premises restaurant: Alice B. Led by world-renowned chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken, the restaurant will serve fresh, Southern California cuisine. The name is inspired by legendary California-born author Alice B. Toklas, who wrote a memoir-disguised-as-cookbook chronicling her life with partner Gertrude Stein.
