The U.S. Secret Service has sold a High Rock Lake property it seized to a prolific Palm Springs developer who is now facing criminal charges of his own in California. John Wessman, founder of Wessman Construction and Wessman Development in Palm Springs, bought the 1.68-acre property at 1713 Waterford Pointe Road in Lexington at auction for $726,100 on March 3. The lakefront home sits on a double lot in Edgewater at the Pointe with 2,623 square feet of living space that includes 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen with dining area, great room with fireplace, laundry room, screened porch, deck, and detached 2-car garage.
